Cayla Holmes, PA-C is a board-certified dermatology Physician Assistant providing comprehensive care in both medical and aesthetic dermatology.  Her clinical interests include acne, eczema and psoriasis management, skin cancer prevention, and individualized aesthetic treatments. Cayla is conversational in Spanish and is proud to provide care to Spanish-speaking patients.

Originally from Sugar Land, Texas, Cayla earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Biology from Baylor University. During her time in Waco, she served as a health intern at a local clinic for medically uninsured and underserved patients, where she frequently translated for Spanish-speaking individuals to help ensure clear communication and quality care.

Cayla completed her Physician Assistant training at The University of Texas Medical Branch, graduating with honors and earning placement on the Dean’s List. While in PA school, she co-founded a student organization known as SWAT (Students Working Against Trafficking), dedicated to raising awareness among healthcare providers about human trafficking and educating clinicians on recognizing and supporting victims within the healthcare setting.

Following graduation, Cayla pursued advanced dermatology training through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) Diplomate Fellowship Program, a comprehensive, all-inclusive didactic program designed for PAs specializing in dermatology.

Cayla is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and creating a welcoming environment rooted in trust, education, and individualized care. She is committed to helping patients feel confident, informed, and comfortable throughout every stage of their dermatologic journey.

When she is not in clinic, Cayla enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons. She is actively involved in her Lake Highlands community through her church and the Junior League, and she enjoys staying active and being outdoors. On a beautiful day, you can often find her exploring the Dallas Arboretum with her boys.
