Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common type of skin cancer, usually appearing on sun-exposed areas. It can develop on previously damaged skin, such as from burns or radiation. Unlike BCC, SCC has a higher risk of spreading, making early detection crucial.
Symptoms:
- Hard, scaly, or crusty reddish bump or patch
- An open sore that itches, bleeds, and returns
- Thick, rough, scaly patches on the lips
